The RAF museum is a short drive away from us in Hendon. Something to do for the halfterm break. Lots of planes, weapons and wartime facts. Of course a childfriendly, sanitized portrayal of the darkest pursuits of mankind.
Passing the Avro Vulcan B2 with it's impressive payload, Marla stopped and asked: 'Mummy, why are there bombs?'
I nearly broke into tears.

An afternoon of drawing, drip paintings, face painting by Suska and a play session at 'gymboree' afterwards. They play very well together. And Leni loves the buzz.

Marlas Nursery had a Divali party before halfterm break. The children performed a lovely song, they had henna patterns painted onto their hands and parents brought food to celebrate.
She sounds like an old dustbin. She coughs and whines and doesn't do much else. We went to St. Marks Church playgroup. She usually forgets all her worries, like teething because of the excitment and gets right into the spirit. Not today. She'd just sit next to the lonely girl with nits and howl. We had to give up and leave. There'll be better days (and nights).
Marla and most (if not all) the kids at nursery had it.

Marla and Rocket - post school tv. It is a long day for them. They seem exhausted and relieved when we are picking them up. Marla got a 'brilliant' sticker yesterday for sitting down nicely and reading a book after tidy-up time.
After some time of drawing feltpen pictures kneeling on the floor, Marla proclaims when getting up: 'My legs are sparkling!'
